Each persona is a character in your own screenplay written for the web
Drew Harris
If you have seen any of the National Lampoons Vacation movies that center around Clark Griswold and his family you are familiar with Cousin Eddie. Whether you are a fan of these movies or not, you must admit that these characters were well developed. The entertainment industry in general does a good job of developing charaters that are believable and real to you and I. The more a character is developed the more real they are to us who are watching the movie. I love Clark, but I really love to watch how Clark and Cousin Eddie interact with one another.
Cousin Eddie rocks because he embodies everything that is wrong with our own families. Understanding and using personas can rock your web project and marketing efforts! Each persona is a character in your own screenplay written for the web. They should embody the right things. For any given web project, we may have several persona, each with its own problems, fears, goals, habits and hobbies... each with its own believable personality. Once mulitple personas have been developed for your web project, we can begin to see how they would interact with you, your site and even with each other. This practice of persona development is one of the keys that set up apart from our competition and more importantly help to make your web project a successful one! Please enjoy the sample persona provided here (the image) as well as this entertaining youtube video clip that shows us in part "who is Cousin Eddie." We would love to hear your thoughts on this tatic and blog article via our comments at the bottom of this post. If you want more information about how personas work with a web project and how they can help your business, we'd be happy to talk with you.
